Alois Lageder, Pinot Noir – wine needs no introduction, it has gained a lot of fans around the world. The wine has a rounded fruit flavor and clean aroma with spicy notes of spices. This is a truly elegant and delicate drink, born from Pinot Noir, in Italy, better known as Pinot Nero. Age of vines is 15 to 35 years. The vineyard is located in the town of Mason, close to the village of Egna. The cool climate and sandy-limestone soil help to preserve the natural grape flavor and aroma. After harvesting the berries are fermented and subjected to maceration. Then the wine is bottled in large oak barrels before full maturation for 15 months.

To date, a trademark of Alois Lageder continues to be synonymous with high quality wines and grape cultivation. Winery, founded in 1823 by Johann Ladzhederom, for over 5 generations of the same family. Johann Ladzheder built its own wine cellar and began to sell wines of its own production, has been recognized for its high quality. In 1855, the wine business has inherited one of the sons of Johann – Alois, who greatly expanded the capabilities of the company through their entrepreneurial skills and the acquisition of new vineyards. Since 1963, after the death of the head of the family Alois IV, the company began to lead his widow Christina Roessler and eldest daughter Vendelgard, which at that time was 21 years old. Vendelgard, with the support of the family and the mother has achieved great results in the management of the family company. Not so easy was a young girl to be recognized in a business dominated by men. In 1969 Vendelgard marries young, successful oenologist Louis won Delman. He took charge of the winemaking process and soon became well known as a master for the production of white wines.
At present, the company is managed by Alois Ladzheder brother Vendelgard. Alois uses both modern and traditional methods of winemaking. Since 1990, about 50 hectares of vineyards owned by the family, has successfully used the principles of biodynamic farming.
