Wine Bibbiano, “Vigna del Capannino” Chianti Classico Gran Selezione DOCG, 2016

Wine “Vigna del Capannino” Gran Selezione created from selected Sangiovese Grosso, grown on limestone and clay-rich soils of the fertile vineyard Kapanina. Plot with south-western disposition covers an area of 7 hectares and is considered one of the best in the Chianti Classico region, for what it called a “genius loci” (translated from the Italian – “the genius of the area”). Yields are in the first half of October manually performed during vinification maceration followed by alcoholic fermentation for 25 days. Matured wine is 24 months in oak barrels, some of them – from the French oak. After holding bottled wine after bottling and further incubated for another 6 months.
