Wine “Cape Heights” Chenin Blanc, 2021

“Cape Heights” Chenin Blanc – South African dry white wine made from grapes Chenin Blanc, which is grown in the company’s vineyards in the Western Cape. The climate here is predominantly Mediterranean. The predominant soil types in the region are granite, shale and sandstone. After harvesting, which is carried out at the time of optimal ripeness of the berries, the grapes undergo traditional vinification at a controlled temperature, mainly in stainless steel containers and a small part in old barrels. The wine is kept on a noble lees, mixed and bottled. Prolonged contact with the lees gives the wine weight and character, while the barrel-fermented component adds refinement and forms a delicate texture. The freshness and purity of the wine are preserved thanks to the screw cap, due to which the wine does not undergo “cork disease”.
