Wine “Conti D’Arco” Gewurztraminer, Trentino DOC, 2021

Brand “Conti D’Arco” includes a series of wines of Trentino DOC, made from selected grapes harvested in the best areas of the Trentino region. The name of the brand comes from a noble family the Middle Ages, situated on a cliff with an impressive castle of Arco, which offers wonderful views of the vineyards in the valley between Lake Garda and the Dolomites to the Brenta. Gruppo Italiano Vini (GIV) has acquired the brand “Conti D’Arco”, which has a long history, and has established an agreement for the production of wines “Conti d’Arco” with Mezzacorona winery, which is one of the most interesting wineries in Trentino. Dry white wine “Conti D’Arco” Gewurztraminer is made from Gewurztraminer grapes (or as it is called in Italy, Traminer Aromatic), which is grown on special vineyards along the slopes of the valley, following the course of the Adige River. Harvested at full maturity level when peel fruit becomes copper-bronze color. Vinification takes place according to the traditional method for white wines. After a short maceration in grape skins and decantation with cold wort fermented at a controlled temperature of 16-18 C. Young wine before bottling is aged at ambient temperature, to preserve the natural flavor of the grapes. in a cool, dark place 1-2 years Gewurztraminer can be stored in bottles in a horizontal position.
