Corte Aleardi, Amarone della Valpolicella Classico “Montepala” DOCG is the flagship wine of the estate from the “Montepala” area. It is produced exclusively from grapes from local vineyards located in the hilly area of “Montepala”, in the heart of Valpolicella Classico. The grapes are harvested from mid-September to mid-October, placed on racks in a large, ventilated room for drying fruit, where the bunches are stored for several months in natural conditions. Alcoholic fermentation takes place slowly in winter at low temperatures, and aging takes place in underground cellars for 3-5 years in Slavonian oak barrels. Bottle aging lasts at least 12 months. The annual production is only 3,000 bottles.
