Wine Domini Veneti, Recioto della Valpolicella Classico DOC “Vigneti di Moron”, 2018, 0.5 L

The municipality of Moron has for a long time famous for its wealth and richness of its wines, especially sweet Recioto. Dessert wine Recioto della Valpolicella Classico DOC “Vigneti di Moron” has the strength and power and is a truly unique drink for this little corner of Italy. The commune is located in the heart of the Valpolicella Classico. Vineyards spread on the terraces of the south-eastern exposure at an altitude of 200-250 meters above sea level. The soils are mainly composed of silt and sand. The average age of the vines – 20 years. Harvested by hand in the last week of September. The grapes are dried in storage for 130 days. In mid-February, the berries are crushed. The fermentation takes place at a temperature of from 12 to 23 C. Maceration with three manual punching cap lasts 20 days. Malolactic fermentation and aging of wine for 6 months in French oak barrels Allier begins in May. After bottling the wine is still 4 months contained in the cellars. Wine storage capacity is 10-15 years.

Recioto “vignette de Moron” was awarded the gold medal at the “International Wine Challenge” and a silver medal at the “Decanter World Wine Awards”.

Domini Veneto – top of the range wines cooperative Cantina Valpolicella Negrar is the result of a long-term project for the allocation of the best plots cru, lower yields on them and thereby improve the quality of wines. Domini Veneti name recalls a time when the land was part of the Valpolicella powerful Venetian Republic.

Winery Cantina Valpolicella Negrar was organized in 1933 from several small manufacturers uncompetitive. Today Cantina Negrar – an association of 180 winegrowers, one of the largest wine-producing cooperatives in Italy. They advise and coordinate the activities of about 200 owners of vineyards, whose total area is 500 hectares. Old recipes combined with modern innovations that are used with great caution and care – a guarantee of high quality. All the vineyards are located on the slopes of the hills of Valpolicella Classico region north-west of Verona. Annual production capacity now stands at over 8 million bottles of wine produced from more than 60,000 quintals (13 million pounds) of grapes.
