“Wine Guide” Bastardo

Church wine Cahors altar is made from grapes grown in Bulgaria. The blend includes Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot varieties, complemented by other red varieties. This is a fortified dessert wine of a special type, in the manufacture of which the technology of incomplete fermentation is used (alcoholic fermentation is stopped forcibly by adding ethyl alcohol). The result is a rich, dense ruby-colored drink with a deep berry-fruit aroma and a velvety, viscous taste with pleasant unobtrusive sweetness.
