Wine “Kellerei Auer” Pinot Grigio, Alto Adige DOC, 2022

Winery Cantine di Ora , owned by Schenk, presented a line of wines “Kellerei Auer” from the region of Alto Adige. “Kellerei Auer” in German means “Cantine di Ora”. Both names are present on the bottles. This is due to the fact that Alto Adige is spoken in both German and Italian. The wines of “Kellerei Auer” are the result of the hard work of the experienced enologist Daniel Ress. Alpine microclimate, mitigated by the influence of the Mediterranean, along with dolomite, calcareous and clay soils create in South Tyrol an ideal medium for growing grapes, from which excellent, mineral, structured wines are obtained.

“Kellerei Auer” Pinot Grigio, Alto Adige DOC – dry white wine made from the same grape variety, which is grown in the vineyards of the company. Vineyards stretch near the mountains at an altitude of 200-400 meters above sea level. Crop harvested when the berries reach the optimum level of maturity in small boxes. After soft pressing, a fermentation stage follows at a controlled temperature of 16-18 C in stainless steel tanks. Malolactic fermentation is not carried out. The wine is excellent as an aperitif, as well as in harmony with dishes of fish, shellfish, mushrooms and various cheeses.
