Wine “Lafoa” Cabernet Sauvignon, Alto Adige DOC, 2017

“Lafoa” Cabernet Sauvignon – a jewel among the best wines of South Tyrol. Care, experience and intuition as when growing grapes, and in the winemaking process, helped to create this beautiful, rich and elegant wine with a surprisingly bright color and expressive aroma.

The grapes for wine making “Lafoa” Cabernet Sauvignon is grown on the same vineyard “Lafoa” which is drenched with sunlight ridge between the village and the village Girlan Shrekbihl at an altitude of 430 meters above sea level. Vineyard soil – sand, dry, with cartilaginous moraines. They were planted in 1987, three French clones with the density of planting 6,000 vines per hectare. The grapes are harvested by hand, separated from the stalks and gags, and then the juice is fermented on the skins for 10 days. Young wine is left to stand together with grape skins for another 10-14 days and then poured in French oak barriques – partly new and partly old. After the malolactic fermentation of wine decanted several times and then maintained in barrels 18 months. Before bottling the wine is slightly filtered. Wine storage capacity is at least 15 years.

This is a wonderful wine attracts not only taste, but also attracts the attention of an interesting design labels developed design studio Guardenti. The label depicts the goddess of fertility, the creation of which was inspired by the sculpture designers Guido Muss Mosna.
