Wine Le Ragnaie, “Troncone” Toscana Rosso IGT, 2020

“Troncone” Toscana Rosso IGT is the pure expression of Sangiovese, an organic wine that is not limited by the standards set by the government for the production of Brunello and Rosso di Montalcino. The grapes for this wine are grown in one of the highest vineyards in Montalcino, at an altitude of more than 600 meters above sea level. Harvested, as a rule, in the second half of October, which gives wines of exceptional elegance and rich aroma. At the winery, the grapes are carefully sorted on a sorting table, only the best bunches are selected. The wort is fermented and macerated in concrete vats with regular manual pumping of the wort for 25-90 days. Then the juice is separated from the pulp by soft pressing and placed in large Slavonian oak barrels, in which the wine is aged for 12 months. The wine is bottled without filtration and pasting. Wine potential is 3-7 years.
