“Coteau La Tour” in 2011 – a harmonious red wine with a full and warm taste and exquisite fruity flavor. Wine is made from grapes Syrah – a symbol of the company Les Cretes. Harvested by hand in late October, then within 10-12 days fermentation takes place at a temperature of 28 C. After aging for 9 months in French oak barrels the wine is aged an additional 6 months in bottles.
Until 2007, the wine was classified as table (vino da tavola), but later revised the rules of release of wine in the Aosta Valley and the “Coto La Tour” was given the status of DOC.
Wine House Les Cretes traces its history to 1955, when the family Scharrer were purchased 2 hectares of land, where they were defeated first vineyards. Today, the company owns 25 hectares of vineyards and a winery equipped with the most modern equipment that allows you to create high-quality wines, perfectly reflecting the individuality of terroirs Valle d’Aosta. Most of the vineyards reserved for the autochthonous grape varieties: Petite Arvine, Petit Rouge, Fyumen and Cornalin, which are classics in the region of Valle d’Aosta. Among international varieties in Le Crete prefer Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Muscat and Sears, which are perfectly adapted to the climate and soil of the region. Due to the company’s philosophy is based on the classical tradition of winemaking, its fine wines are made by experts around the world and repeatedly received high marks from such publications as the largest wine “Wine Advocat” and “Gambero Rosso”.
