Wine Losi, “Querciavalle” Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG, 2013

“Querciavalle” Chianti Classico Riserva has been manufactured by Lozi since its founding in 1954. This wine has always been exemplary and loved by even the most demanding consumers for their excellent quality, maximum expression of Sangiovese and the authenticity of Chianti Classico. Selected grape varieties of Sangiovese and Canaiolo Toscano for the production of this cuvee are grown in the Cuerchavalle farm owned by the Lozi family. The vineyards are located at an altitude of 300-350 meters above sea level, have an excellent south-western exposure and are constantly flooded with sunlight, which contributes to the full and uniform ripening of the grapes. Vinification consists of fermentation in stainless steel vats at a temperature not exceeding 27 C for 15-20 days. Malolactic fermentation is carried out in cement tanks. Then the wine is aged 24-30 months in large Slavonian oak barrels and 6-12 months bottles.
