Wine Marques de Grinon, “Emeritus”, Dominio de Valdepusa DO, 2013

Wine “Emeritus”, created in 2008 from the three main varieties of farm Domino de Valdepusa: Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Petit Verdot. Wine is one of the best in the sector and, therefore, is in first place in the ranking of Spanish wines. The wine is produced in a limited edition. The soil in the Domino de Valdepusa – clay and limestone. Grapes are harvested by hand, undergoes a long maceration – up to 4-5 weeks, and then placed in new French Allier oak barrels and aged in the cellar for 24-26 months. You can drink wine now or keep it for another 10-15 years.

Winery itself is located in a medieval building of the XVII century, which was completely renovated in 1989 and is equipped with modern air conditioning and the latest equipment. For aging wines in Dominio de Valdepusa use 1200 barrels of French oak.
