Wine Monte Bernardi, “Sa’ Etta”, Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG, 2017

“Sa ‘Etta” is a sumptuous, aromatic, enveloping natural red wine made from Sangiovese grapes from the biodynamic vineyard of the same name “Ca’ Etta”, which the producer describes as “having the best position, exposure and landscape on the estate.” Vines over 50 years old are cultivated here. Selected grapes are harvested by hand. At the winery, the fruits undergo spontaneous fermentation with natural yeast, which takes place in large oak barrels. After malolactic fermentation, the wine is aged from 18 to 30 months in Austrian and German oak barrels, bottled without filtration and matured for at least another 12 months. Vintage 2016 will keep well until 2028.
