Wine Monteverro, “Vermentino di Monteverro”, Toscana IGT, 2023

“Verruzzo di Monteverro”, Toscana IGT is an elegant cuv that, thanks to its presence in the Sangiovese blend, pays tribute to the Tuscan winemaking traditions and at the same time has the spirit of Monteverro, including the classic Bordeaux varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. From the Italian “verruzzo” is the affectionate nickname of a young boar, which are found in abundance on the Monteverro estate. After vinification in steel tanks, the wine is aged for about a year in previously used oak barrels. It is charming even in youth, soft, affordable and is a universal companion to various dishes. It owes its dynamic character to Sangiovese, strength and structure to Cabernet Sauvignon, spice to Cabernet Franc, softness to Merlot.
