“Moses Rock” was the name of a wild stallion that roamed the Villabrup area on the Margaret River in the 1920s. Legend has it that it was named after a very popular surf break due to its energy, spirit and wild temperament. He is depicted galloping on the labels of the “Moses Rock” brand. The winery strives to reflect its vitality and personality in every bottle of Moses Rock wines, made from the region’s signature varieties that made Margaret River famous.
“Moses Rock” Cabernet Sauvignon – elegant wine with pleasant fruit and berry and chocolate hints in taste and aroma. Harvest for its manufacture is harvested by machine and immediately transported to the winery, where it is cleaned of ridges and stones and crushed. During fermentation, the must is pumped twice a day, the temperature is maintained at around 25 C to prevent excessive tannins. The must is then transferred to French oak barrels for malolactic fermentation and aging for 10 months.
