Wine Niedrist, “Berger Gei”, Lagrein Gries DOC Riserva, 2020

“Berger Gei” – a gorgeous, high-quality dry red wine made from grapes Lagreyn and is available in limited quantities. The wine takes its name from the vineyard, “Berger Guy”, located near the village of Gries. After fermentation, the wine is aged for 15 months in French oak barrels. Grape wine and skillful work certain conditions create the drink gave him a unique flavor and aroma characteristics. Experts recommend to consume the wine is young, but also note that it can be stored for 3-5 years.

A small winery Niedrist officially existed since 1870, but the sale of bottled wines and Ignaz Nidrist, inherited the family vineyards began in 1989. The farm produces only 25-30 thousand bottles of wine per year.
