“Nipozzano” Chianti Rufina Riserva is produced near Florence Castello di Nipotstsano, the flagship sector Frescobaldi family, is a symbol of the long history of the house Frescobaldi and a symbol of traditional Tuscan winemaking.

Vineyards Castello di Nipotstsano located at an altitude of 250 to 500 meters above sea level and covers 250 hectares of south-eastern exposure. The soil is dry, stony, clay-calcareous, well-drained. Planting density ranges from 2,500 to 6,000 vines per hectare. Harvesting for creating wine “Nipotstsano” Chianti Rufina Riserva 2011 was completed in early October. Fermentation for each class separately made in stainless steel tanks for 13 days at or below 30 C, then was held 25-day maceration with frequent pumping and malolactic fermentation. The wine was soaked first 24 months in two- and three-year barriques and then 3 months in bottle. Storage capacity of the vintage 2011 is 12.8 years. Before serving, aeration is recommended.
