Pietroso, Brunello di Montalcino is the flagship wine of the Pietroso estate. It has been produced since 1978 from the Sangiovese (Brunello) grape variety, which is grown with the utmost care and agronomic care. After a very long fermentation of the must on grape skins, the wine is aged for three years in 30 hectolitre Slavonian oak barrels at a controlled temperature, then bottled and matured for at least six months before being placed on the market. The peak of maturity of the 2015 vintage will be in 2020-2030.
