Wine Poggerino, “Bugialla” Riserva, Chianti Classico DOCG, 2020

“Bugialla” Riserva – a magnificent Italian wine that is produced from only the finest fruits of the vineyard Bugialla, which is known for its unique soil with a high content of rocky debris. Wine made from Sangiovese berries collected from vineyards located at an altitude of 450 meters above sea level. Exposure – south-east. The average age of the vines – 38 years. Wine “Budzhalla” aged for 24 months in 400 liter ton (drums), most of which – the new, and then another year in the bottle. Average annual production of this wine is 8000 bottles.

Poggerino is located in the heart of Tuscany, in the Chianti area and is a small organic and biodynamic family winery. The total area of just over 43 hectares of vineyards, olive groves and woods, with several traditional brick houses and the church, which was built in the XII century. The plant itself is a property belonging to Prince Ginori Conti still – a descendant of one of the oldest families in Florence. Floriana Ginori Conti inherited the winery from his father in 1970, and 10 years later released their first wine under the brand name “Podzherino.” In 1999, the management of the economy came her two children that have helped her a long time at the winery. Son Piero – oenologist and agronomist in Podzherino, in addition to the experience gained in the family winery, visit other wine regions of the world.
