For the manufacture of white wine “Puntay” Sauvignon manufacturer used grapes Sauvignon Blanc with a multi-layered flavor, good acidity and lively freshness, pronounced in a harmonious aftertaste. Wine producer – Italian cooperative Erste and NEU Keller, whose vineyards are located in the province of Trentino-Alto Adige. This is the northernmost wine region in Italy. Due to its complex geopolitical history, it consists of two autonomous provinces: Trentino and Alto Adige. Trentino is almost entirely composed of native Italians, while Alto Adige has a predominantly German-speaking and Russian-speaking population. This is due to the same status in the region as part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, from which he left in 1919. The wines of this region are the imprints of the cultural and political past, sometimes dramatic and really complex. While Germanic varieties (such as Muller-Thurgau and Sylvaner) reigned supreme in some areas of vineyards, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Pinot Bianco and Sauvignon Blanc in full swing takes another pristine land. Thus, the province of Trentino-Alto Adige is the only Italian region, the area of vineyards which have increased significantly during the last quarter of the twentieth century.

The beginning of the twentieth century in the province of Trentino-Alto Adige in the establishment of the cooperative winemakers, whose main goal was to produce quality wines from vintages from their own vineyards, with their subsequent sale. In 1925 he opened a new head office of the winery, located near the railway in Alto Adige. In 1986 there was a merger of the cooperative “Erste” (“first”), established in 1900, with the winery “Neue” (“new”), which began its work in 1925. So there was a South Tyrolean winery Erste & Neue Kellerei. Today, members of the cooperative are more than 500 winegrowers who meticulously and carefully cultivate their vineyards, and then hand over to the winery excellent yields. Cultivated area in the province of Alto Adige occupy 280 hectares and is home to both autochthonous varieties Gewurztraminer, Lagreyn and La Schiavo and international: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Cabernet and Merlot. Particular attention should be noted Pinot Bianco and Sauvignon, which in this region are particularly good. Italian wine cooperative Erste & Neue Kellerei have their own character, rich aroma and exquisite taste.
