“Dom Diogo” Arinto, Vinho Verde DOC – dry white wine from the Arinto grape variety, which is grown in the Vinho Verde region on shale-clay soils. The region’s proximity to the Atlantic Ocean makes it a highly productive terroir. Sea breezes often bring rainfall with them, allowing yields to rise much higher than in the drier regions of Portugal.
“Dom Diogo” Arinto is the result of a careful selection of the best berries, as well as the perfect combination of innovative technology and tradition. The harvest for this wine is collected by hand in small boxes. In the winery, the grapes are peeled and pitted and then pressed under low pressure. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Before bottling, the wine is filtered and cold stabilized.
“House Diogo” Arinto has received many prestigious awards, including the honorary Green Award awarded by CVRVV in the “Best Greens, 2010” competition, gold medals at the “Concours Mondial de Bruxelles” (2013), “Portugal Wine Trophy” ( 2014 and 2016), “Mundus Vini” (2016), “Asia Wine Trophy” (2017 and 2019), “Berlin Wine Trophy” (2017 and 2018), “Prodexpo” (2020), silver medals – “International Wine Challenge” (2013), “Concours Mondial de Bruxelles” (2014, 2015, 2016 and 2020), “Asia Wine Trophy” (2015), “Prodexpo” (2016 and 2019) .), as well as bronze medals at the “Decanter World Wine Awards” (2013, 2018 and 2019), “International Wine Challenge” (2017) and “International Wine & Spirit Competion” (2018).
