Wine Sette Ponti, “Vigna di Pallino” Chianti DOCG Superiore, 2021

“Vigna di Pallino” – sredneteloe wonderful wine made from grapes Sanzhdoveze without aging in oak barrels, which is not only the traditions of the region, but also the historical continuity. The wine is named for the grower, who for many years lovingly cared for this vineyard. The first mention of it dates back to the 1800s. The vineyards are located in Chianti, in the central part of Tuscany, in a hilly area at an altitude of 250 meters above sea level and have a south-eastern exposure. Chianti is home to the most famous and most iconic Italian wines. “Vigna di Pallino” is no exception. The structure of the soil in the region – mainly clay and limestone, interspersed with pebbles. Fermentation of wine passes at a controlled temperature and lasts for 10 days, followed by a five-day maceration. The aging of wine passes in stainless steel for 2-3 months and then bottled.

Agriculture Sette Ponti is located in the central part of Chianti. The first vines were planted here in honor of the victory in 1935, the Duke Amedeo d’Aosta, Viceroy of Ethiopia. Agriculture Sette Ponti was owned by various members of the royal family until 1957, Alberto Moretti bought it from Princess Marie Christine and Margaret of Savoy, daughter of Victor Emmanuel III, King of Italy from 1900 to 1946. To date, winery owns son Alberto – Antonio Moretti, who involved in wine production Sette Ponti famous Italian enologist Carlo Ferrini and experienced grower of France Gilbert Beauvais. Together with them, he made sure that the wine “Crognolo” and “Oreno” became symbols of wine in Tuscany.
