Wine “Solosole” Vermentino, Bolgheri DOC, 2023

It’s a wonderful, bright, sweet wine called “Solosole”, which means “only sunshine” and emphasizes the fact that the vineyard Le Sondraye from which harvest for the wine, all the conditions for obtaining excellent grapes. The vineyard is situated at an altitude of 25 meters above sea level and has a western exposure. The soil consists of marl interspersed with sand and gravel. The proximity of the sea, protection from cold winds by hills, the perfect amount of sunlight throughout the year allows the berries to ripen fully.

Grapes for wine “Solosole” harvested by hand in small boxes and delivered to the winery, where it is fermented in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Extract is produced for a short time on the lees in stainless steel tanks. Wine storage potential is 4-5 years.

Poggio al Tesoro – a joint project of Allegrini – a leading Italian manufacturer of wine from the Valpolicella region, and Leonardo Lo Cascio – president Vaynbou leading importer of Italian wines in America. Together, they have chosen Bolgheri, beautiful wine region in Tuscany – Poggio al Tesoro, which occupies about 173 acres are divided into three vineyard – Via Bolgereze, and Le Le Grottin Sondraye. Enough sunlight, proximity to the sea and the unique terroir of Bolgheri reflected in Poggio al Tesoro wines – maturity, and full-bodied richness combined with the complexity and elegance.

Soil and climatic conditions to some extent reminiscent of Bordeaux: the hot Tuscan sun “softens” the cool sea breeze and the surrounding valley hills protect the vines from the north winds. Local beauty of this region have been immortalized in the works of famous Italian poet and Nobel Prize winner Giosu Carducci.

Here are planted the best clones of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot for the production of first-class international wines. Rounding out the number of varieties Vermentino and Shiraz, which convey the uniqueness of the local region. We apply all the classic art of viticulture, to achieve the best quality: the grapes are harvested and sorted by hand – first in the vineyard and then in the winery. Red varieties fermented separately and then mixed to achieve the best balance.
