Wine Vicentini Agostino, “Il Casale”, Soave Superiore DOCG, 2020

“Il Casale”, Soave Superiore, 2012 – a dry white wine made from Garganega grapes. To become a fine wine, primarily grapes must ripen well. Winemakers carefully monitor the degree of maturity of the crop, and only after the berries become ripe as possible, begin to harvest. Berries are subjected to the soft, delicate pressing pneumatic press. Then mash is fermented for a long time. The temperature of fermentation is continually monitored. Due to weather conditions in 2012 and the huge efforts of winemakers, wine “Il Casale” turned intense and elegant, with a complex and well-balanced structure.

Agostino Vicentina inherited from his father Francesco not only 14 hectares of vineyards, but also a great passion and love for the land, trade secrets and experience gained over 40 years of activity. Vineyards farms are located in the best areas of the region Soave. The farm produces two versions of a bright, harmonious white wine Soave (each – with a single vineyard), as well as perfectly balanced sweet Recioto di Soave white and three red dry wines of Valpolicella. Within a short time Agostino has made great strides in the production of wines of good standard and quality.
